Biosketch:
Kristina Keitel, MD MPH, is a pediatric infectious diseases specialist at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and principal investigator of the e-POCT project, a clinical trial that investigates a novel electronic algorithm using point-of-care technologies for management of febrile illnesses in Tanzanian children. The trial is a collaborative effort between the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute as well as the Ifakara Health Institute and the Dar es Salaam City Council in Tanzania. She received her clinical training at the Children’s Hospital in Geneva and at the Boston Children’s Hospital where she continues to serve as adjunct faculty.
