Description:

As we enter the first 1000 days of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the clock is already ticking. Governments have committed to achieving an ambitious global agenda by 2030 and crucially, they have promised to leave no one behind in doing so.

We now need to rapidly turn our attention to how we can make this happen.

In order to ensure no one is left behind, we firstly need to identify the most vulnerable and marginalised people.  And once we’ve got that data we must understand what they need as individuals and groups. This is not a task that can be taken lightly. And if we don’t make progress now, we jeopardise our chances of delivering by 2030.

#GlobalChallenges 2016 opens on day 39 of the first 1000 days by convening the Dutch Minister for Trade and Development Cooperation, senior government officials and experts tasked with implementing the ‘leave no one behind’ agenda to discuss how we can turn 2015 ambition into 2030 reality.
