​​Ubuntu Hub Shared Learning Webinar Series: Caring for the Caregivers​

​The second webinar in the series to engage those working in early child disability including the LSHTM ‘Ubuntu Hub’ global community of practice. In this webinar, we will be reflecting on supporting caregivers emotional wellbeing. 

This will be an engaging one-hour online webinar exploring the importance of addressing the emotional wellbeing of caregivers within disability programmes. 

This event is open to everyone with interest or experience in implementing programmes for children with developmental disability and their caregivers and will share learning from the Ubuntu Hub programmes.  

The webinar will include three short presentations by global practitioners sharing their programmes expertise and experiences in addressing caregiver wellbeing; including practical demonstrations of ACT (acceptance commitment therapy) techniques. 

This will be followed by a Q&A and facilitated discussion on ways to support caregiver emotional wellbeing.  

Attendees will learn about: 

  1. The importance of addressing caregiver emotional wellbeing and the benefits to child wellbeing 

  1. Strategies used to address emotional wellbeing in Juntos and Mighty Children programmes 

  1. ACT (acceptance commitment therapy) techniques 

  1. Explore culture adaptations for emotional wellbeing strategies 

  1. Have the opportunity to share ideas and learning on new and innovative ways support caregiver emotional wellbeing
