What does it mean to be an efficient and productive health system – reflections after the pandemic

In this seminar, Anita Charlesworth of The Health Foundation will discuss understandings of what it means to be an efficient and productive health system, including aspects such as allocative efficiency, and the importance of resilience and dynamic efficiency, and how these can be considered in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The session will be chaired by Professor Kara Hanson, Professor of Health System Economics, LSHTM. The discussant will be Professor Pauline Allen, Professor of Health Services Organisation, LSHTM.
