Global epidemiology of STIs among users of PrEP to HIV
This seminar will discuss how HIV PrEP programs can be a gateway to strengthening comprehensive sexual health services globally. Jason will present data from a systematic review/meta-analysis using data in 88 studies from 26 countries, and qualitative synthesis from PrEP implementers regarding the barriers and facilitators for offering sexual health services to PrEP users.
About the speaker
Jason Ong is a sexual health physician and health economist, currently based in Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, Australia. He is an honorary Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and has appointments at Monash University and the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on the control of HIV/STIs, particularly among marginalized populations.
