Ubuntu Hub Shared Learning Webinar Series: Exploring communication challenges for children with developmental disabilities​

This is the fourth webinar in the series to engage those working in early child disability including the LSHTM ‘Ubuntu Hub’ global community of practice. 

This will be an engaging one-hour online webinar exploring the importance of addressing the variety of communication challenges in children with developmental disabilities and sharing practical strategies to support the development of communication skills through a panel discussion of real-life case studies.

This event is open to everyone with interest or experience in implementing programmes for children with a developmental disability and their caregivers and will share learning from the Ubuntu Hub programmes.  

The webinar will include:

  • Presentation from an Ugandan Speech and Language Therapist on common communication difficulties and practical strategies to support children with developmental disabilities
  • Three case studies illustrating the successful implementation of communication strategies
  • Q&A session

Attendees will learn about: 

  1. Common communication difficulties in children with developmental disabilites 
  2. Practical strategies to support the development of communication skills 
  3. Have the opportunity to share ideas and learning with global expert panel
