The hybrid event, scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2023, is tailored for professionals in health service delivery, policy development, health workers, Infection Prevention and Control teams, and academics, aims to shed light on the critical role of caregivers within the African healthcare system.

Commencing with research presentations spotlighting the unique circumstances in Cameroon and Malawi, the event will feature insights delivered by researchers from esteemed organizations, including the UK-Public Health Rapid Support Team, the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Service, Infection Control Africa Network, WaterAid, and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

A pivotal aspect of the event is a chaired panel Q&A session, spearheaded by Professor Wendy Graham, an LSHTM Professor of Obstetric Epidemiology from the School’s Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health and the Centre for Maternal, Adolescent, Reproductive & Child Health.
