In the last few years, a number of private halls have been built specifically for students, and we have listed most of these below. Rents tend to be expensive, but the accommodation is generally high quality, and many students like the peace of mind of knowing they can go straight from the airport to their accommodation - most halls can be booked in advance before you come to London. Please note that we have not visited all of these places in person, and we are not able to check which places still have availability for the next academic year.
Luxury Halls - advantages
- Living in a ready-established student community
- Can be pre-booked from abroad
- Generally high quality accommodation with modern decor
Luxury Halls - disadvantages
- Expensive
- Long contract (usually 51 weeks) can be difficult to get out of
- Halls vary in terms of how much social activity they organise
- Not necessarily centrally located
