Seminar
Braiding Together Evidence, Equity and Advocacy for Cervical Cancer Prevention
Professor Linda Eckert will speak about the global inequities in access to cervical cancer prevention, detailed in her book Enough: Because We Can Stop Cervical Cancer.
Despite the existence of a vaccine and screening that can prevent it, cervical cancer persists in killing a woman every two minutes. The book 'Enough: Because We Can Stop Cervical Cancer' and the associated seminar addresses culture, gender, health, and political issues, and the systems that have contributed to this devastation.
'Enough: Because We Can Stop Cervical Cancer' uses evidence-based information, personal stories, and presents actionable outcomes, and was reviewed as “heartbreaking, yet hopeful”.
