Everybody poo(p)s: Water, sanitation, and hygiene in global health research with Professor Robert Dreibelbis
Inaugural lecture of Professor Robert Dreibelbis

Safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services are basic human needs and critical for health, but billions of people lack access to safely managed services. Everybody poo(p)s, but the health and development consequences of the failure to adequately manage human waste, provide clean drinking water, and enable effective hygiene behaviours are borne primarily by the most vulnerable.
In his inaugural lecture, Professor Robert Dreibelbis will reflect on his personal and professional journey in WASH and global health research and the questions that drive his work: How can we understand WASH behaviours and the factors that shape them, how can we identify the impact of WASH services on health and well-being, and how can we design better and more equitable WASH interventions, programmes, and policies?
The lecture will take place from 17:15 - 18:15, followed by a 1-hour in-person drinks reception in the Pumphandle Social.
