Seminar
Impact of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in The Gambia, unfinished business
Abstract:
Pneumococcus has been the most common cause of childhood pneumonia and invasive bacterial disease. The introduction of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) in The Gambia has substantially reduced invasive pneumococcal disease and severe pneumonia. The epidemiology of respiratory and bacterial disease in the PCV era highlights new and established priorities for action in child health.
This event is organised jointly with the Centre for Maternal, Adolescent, Reproductive, and Child Health (MARCH), the Centre for Evaluation
