Understanding PrEP scale-up in a time of limited resources – making a case for in-depth evaluation
We are now a couple of years into PrEP implementation in countries and resources are still limited in supporting scale-up. Additionally, there are still many questions as to how, where, and who. This talk will describe the current issues and needs to be addressed for successful PrEP scale-up, in particular in relation to evaluation, and discuss potential solutions.
Dr Robyn Eakle has a PhD in Public Health and Policy with a focus on PrEP implementation from LSHTM, and holds an honorary Assistant Professor position at the school. She is currently a Senior Technical Advisor for Biomedical Prevention ARV USAID, and is the main point of contact for PrEP implementation.
