Thinking outside the “malaria” box: multi-disease approaches in maternal and child health
The latest discussion series, co-hosted with the MARCH Centre, will be covering multi-disease approaches in maternal and child health. These two talks will provoke the audience to step outside of disease silos, and think holistically about the many factors affecting child health.
Speakers include:
- Dr Shunmay Yeung, LSHTM (chair)
- Dr Matthew Chico, LSHTM: Treatment of co-infections in pregnancy: Challenges and opportunities in the antenatal care setting
- Prof Daniel Chandramohan, LSHTM: Harnessing the Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) platform for other childhood diseases
There will be opportunity for extended discussion of these strategies at the end - we encourage lively audience interaction!
Please note that this session will NOT be live-streamed/recorded
